Pulling No Punches: By Daniel Payne

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sow, this he will also reap” (Gal. 6:7)
Hey Gang, I have done something this morning that I very rarely do, I have taken an article that I believe every Christian should read very carefully.  The author also felt that way for he gave permission to “share this” article”.   Yes, it is a wee bit lengthy but very worthy of your time.

Enough with the facade that this world has any collective hope left for revival this side of the Tribulation. While so-called traditional “Christian” American men hang out with their buddies in their rock-and-roll churches, go fishing until no bass are left breathing, watch their cars and horses race each other, and watch their favorite sports like football, baseball, basketball, hockey, the bloody and violent UFC, etc.—their own country is bursting at the seams!

The few men who are left that can do anything about the fact that our country and our sovereignty is about to be handed over to a global government like the United Nations—couldn’t seem to care less—just so long as they have their buddies and their beer.

I wonder—have they turned on the news lately? Are they at all aware of what’s happening in the world that exists outside of their good ole buddy club? I’m talking about your wives, your children, your parents, your neighbors… you do still care about them—right?

You think that Donald Trump is going to “fix” everything by himself? The demons are heaving and lunging and foaming at the mouth trying to bring Trump down through the wicked human monsters that they inhabit. Guess what? In case you haven’t noticed, they are gaining ground.

No, this is not a reckoning of fear—this is a reckoning of reality.

There is not a snowball’s chance in—you know where—that God will allow a newfound peace and prosperity to take over a country that continues to turn its back on Him. How can I dare say that? Isn’t that some kind of sacrilege for a Christian American man to say such a thing while Donald Trump is still president?

Do you not think I wish that our President would succeed? Of course, I do—and I pray that he does—but that may not be what our nation will reap. A nation that sows sex and violence will NOT reap prosperity and peace – especially while those who know better continue to sow to their own crudeness and lust by watching and supporting the filth on their TVs, computers, gaming consoles, and smartphones.

The devil is having far too easy of a time distracting the few good men that are left in America with all manner of meaningless sports, gambling, violent and sexual entertainment, etc. The infernal filth that lives inside that rectangular display is eagerly engorged on by all who bow before it. They have no excuse.

As I’ve said before—Satan is a crafty devil. No human being is a match for his experience and power of meddling in human affairs—as he has been doing for millennia after millennia. He knows full well how to wait for the pendulum to swing back in a reaction that will far outweigh any good that we may think will result from the noble efforts of our current administration.

This fact cannot actually be lost on anyone: if one president can do it—then the next president can certainly undo it. Imagine a president—unlike our current president—who actually endeavored to hand over our national sovereignty to the next global leader. Imagine the power that president will have when not only the media and pop culture support them, but all three branches of government will also?

The Trump administration is surrounded by globalist wolves in sheep’s clothing. They wear many different labels: Democrats, Republicans, Conservatives, Liberals, War-hawks, Socialists, etc., and etc. They are infiltrating the Trump administration in droves—and unless God has another plan—they will soon succeed in cutting off any progress traditional conservative Americans thought that the current administration was making toward our country remaining independent.

People are losing their “cool” like never before, and social decorum is going down the gutter in spades these days. People formerly thought to be “professional” are displaying behavior unheard of just a few years ago. What do you think is happening to the little, if any, respect that our youth had left for those in authority over them—when those very same authorities now act less mature than they do?

What institutions remain that have a respectful reputation left in the eyes of our youth? Certainly not the government—gossip and corruption scandals. Certainly not Law Enforcement—again—gossip and corruption scandals. Certainly not their teachers—cheating and sex scandals. Certainly not their parents—they see what their parents are watching and they hear what their parents are saying. Certainly not their neighbors—they observe their bad conduct on social media.

And sadly—certainly not the church. What is a young person to think when they can’t tell the difference between their own pastor and a singer in a pop music video? Respect for that?

What happens when people turn on the news? Far too many people are under the spell and power of Satan’s companies of renown—Apple, Google, Amazon, AT&T, Disney, Comcast, etc., to be able to see anything—except everything that is brainwashing them against traditional conservative Christian America.

From online resources such as Twitter, Google news, whatever is on Facebook, Snapchat, etc., to almost every television set that is turned on to the news—they’re tuned into liberal networks such as CNN, MSNBC, etc. spewing forth their “progressive,” earth-centered, godless, and humanistic theology. There is no chance for the majority in our country to be anything but brainwashed against what is right.

In case you haven’t noticed, millions of people are being filled with disrespect and rage against traditional Christians in America through the orchestrating of chaos via the media networks working in conjunction with their own subsidiaries—who also conveniently make the most of the online streaming, television, and movie content.

Their delusion constantly proclaims that the suffering and evil in this world is the fault of absolutely none of those who are actually responsible—it is ALL the fault of conservative Christian men and women in America. And yeah—for the most part—Caucasian American Christians.

I’ve seen enough to know that what I am saying is true—and there is no stopping it if it remains in its current progression. It is only a matter of time before the pendulum swings and smashes into our conservative Christian world.

They dare to act like they care about crying little children at the border… These vile monsters who butcher their own children while they are still within the supposed care and protection of their own wombs. These vile monsters who arrogantly spread their filthy venereal diseases while they mock chastity.

They will stop at nothing to burn the traditional Christian influence and legacy of America at the stake. They endeavor to butcher us as they butcher their own unborn children.

It is very probable that these vicious monsters are orchestrating as many children and families as possible to travel to our southern borders—in order to be ripped away from each other—so they can capture the pain and tears on their blood-soaked camera lenses for all to see their shameless exploitation.

The media collectively programs the minds of the masses through controlled perception—using fear, ridicule, shame, and other social and cultural mind-control techniques to force the desired outcome of the next election(s). They are the puppeteers of their masters whose will is to control and enslave all of humanity.
When will those—who still have left a portion of freedom and power—unglue their faces from their selfish lives and recognize that what remains of their families and their country needs them? When will they make an effort to raise their own voices against the destruction of traditional America—not just sit on their hands until the next election—because by then it may be too late?

American media titans are using their satellites as their pulpit—orbiting above earth’s atmosphere—to broadcast all manner of hellish filth around the globe 24 hours a day. How can any sober-minded Christian believe that our righteous God will allow this country to continue to poison the world with our evil deception and manipulation under the guise of pop culture and entertainment?

Our gracious and Almighty God may have another plan—such as the very near and sudden Rapture of what’s left of His true Church. However:“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” (Galatians 6:7).

PS by Gramps- In Ezekiel 36:22- we find a warning from the throne room of heaven:  That God does have a limit as to how far He will allow His creation to defame His mighty and holy name.  He warns: “I will vindicate the holiness of My great name which had been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in heir midst.  Then the nations will know that I am the Lord, “declares the Lord God, when I prove Myself holy among you in their sight.”

Four Habits Worth Having For Stability and Growth

“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity” (2 Pet. 3:18).

Hey Gang, Notice the first two words of the morning Scripture: “But Grow”.  There is the story of the man who felt that he could go it alone and not attend church anymore. Several months after this decision the pastor called and asked if he could come by and chit-chat for a bit.

It was a blustery day and the host had a roaring fire in the fireplace.  After a half hour of idle talk, the pastor brought the session to an end and put his wraps on to leave.  When ready, he took the tongs from the fireplace and captured a burning coal- which he laid on the hearth in front of the fireplace. No words were spoken for the next five minutes but the message was clear, when there is no fire supporting us, our flame goes out.  He was in church the next Sunday.

If you want to do some light reading that has eternal value, pick up a book by Max Lacado.  He is truly a word-smith.  He has the unique ability to make the Word live.  Let me wet your appetite this morning by quoting from His book When God Whispers Your Name.

His words are based on 2 Peter 3:18: “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” Growth is the goal of the Christian.  Maturity is mandatory.  If a child ceased to develop, the parent would be concerned, right?...
When a Christian stops growing, help is needed!  If you are the same Christian today as you were a few months, be careful.  You might be wise to get a checkup.  Not on your body, but on your heart relationship with Jesus.  Not a physical, but a spiritual.

Keep in mind that David was a man after God’s own heart- but one day he decided he would stay behind when his army went to fight the enemy.  We know the rest of the story, Lust led to lying and lying led to murder.  True God forgave him, but the seeds of rebellion, lust and murder were planted into his family.  Even on David’s death bed the head of rebellion reared its ugly head.

Perhaps, if he had followed God’s commandments as given top us in Deuteronomy, the sins of the father would not have been passed down through the generations.  In verse two of chapter six we find that God promises that our days will be prolonged if we are obedient in following His mandates. Later, in the same chapter, we are given God’s mandates on how we can raise God fearing children (vs. 6:4-9).

Perhaps it’s time to check your habits and make the following four habits a regular part of your life-style and see what happens.  First, the habit of prayer….Second, the habit of study…Third, the habit of giving…And last of all, the habit of fellowship.”  If you are a parent, be advised there are eyes watching your every move and listening to your every word.

If every parent would follow God’s mandate of how to raise your children in a Godly way, I could turn Eagle Village into a ski lodge.  I have tried to work my way out of a job for many yeas and have failed horribly. I pray you will do better with your kids.

The World of 1948

“Many plans are in man’s heart, But the counsel of he Lord will stand” (Pro. 19:21).  “For I have hope in You, O Lord; You will answer, O Lord my God” (Psa. 38:15).  “Who is like You among the gods, O Lord?  Who is like You, majestic in holiness, Awesome in praises, working wonders? (Ex. 15:11).

Hey Gang:  I came across the following devotional in Rabbi Cahn’s Sapphires, his Hope of the World devotional publication.  If you are not up to speed on who Rabbi Cahn is, I would strongly recommend that you take some time and tune into his frequency.  I truly believe he is a prophet for this day.  His recent books, The Harbinger, The Mystery of the Shemitah, The Book of Mysteries and his most recent book which is outstanding “The Paradigm”; all have reached the top of the popularity charts in the believer’s world.

This morning I am going to do some plagiarizing from his Sapphires devotional because I believe it emphasizes the Lord has been saying to me.

Mahatma Gandhi is assassinated.  Communist take over Czechoslovakia.  Harry Truman is re-elected.  Stalin rules the Soviet Union.  The Honda motorcycle was invented in Japan.  Humphrey Bogart stars in Key Largo, and John Wayne in Fort Apache.  V8 juice is marketed. The McDonald brothers began franchising their name. and Nestles Quick is introduced in the US.  Into this world the ancient words of the prophets come to pass.

The year is 1948 and the nation of Israel is resurrected, fulfilling ancient prophecies.  Life is filled with details that seem to have nothing to do with God or His plans.  If you don’t think your everyday world is biblical, just remember 1948.  God was working it all together to fulfill the ancient prophecies!

If you love, and follow God, know with assurance that His hand is on your life.  And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose” (Rom.8:28). even Nestles Quick.

As I read this devotional my mind turned to Zechariah 12:2-3 where God gives us a panoramic view of our world today.  Where a tiny nation, about the size of New Jersey, dominates the world news and affairs of the entire world.  It was reported recently that more than eighty percent of the business conducted at the United Nations is centered on Israel directly, or indirectly.

Notice his words: “Behold, I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that causes reeling to all the peoples around; and when the siege is against Jerusalem it will also be against Judah.  It will come in that day that I will make Jerusalem, a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured.  And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it”.

Jesus said, “I want you to know what is going on”.  He warned the Pharisees: “You know how to analyze the appearance of the earth and the sky, but why do you not analyze this present time?’  (Luke 12:56).

My friends, I wonder how many more years we will be blessed to celebrate.  Many of the prophetic gurus are crying out “wake up!”  Convergence is the current battle cry!  They seem to see all the prophecies that Jesus shared with His disciples rapidly coming together.  The key given to us by Jesus: “When all these things happen, look up for your redemption draws near” (Luke 21:28).  What say you?  Are you looking for Messiah?

My God Shall!!

“But one whom you forgive anything I forgive also; for indeed what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, I did it for your sakes in the present of Christ, so that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes” (2 Cor. 2:10-11).

Hey Gang:   Wow, is this not one of those power verses we end to run by when in the Word? Paul has a tendency to ring our bells.  How often, in the two years that I was the “Unemployed director of a non- existent Boy’s Home did I allow my anxieties to roar up and my faith waiver as I questioned “Did I misread what I thought the Lord was telling me.”

With each passing day Satan’s voice grew louder that I was a total failure and a lousy provider for my family and, as the days passed, I became more convicted that I was just that, a lousy provider for my family.

Was I like the guy in the story that was standing in the field and looked up to see an airplane writing “GPC” in the sky.    He became very excited as he ran from the field fully believing that God had just called him to “Go Preach Christ” but, in reality, it was a message for him “Go Plow Corn”.

On the night, when a young man who had passed through my life several times and the system had failed horribly, came into my life one more time – but this time for the taking of a life -I made a vow to do something to help these kids, or become a plumber’s helper.   Had I misread what I thought I heard God said.  Perhaps. In reality, the message was “become a plumber’s helper!”.

While writing the past four Morning Messages about that time in the wilderness and even feeling a wee bit sorry for myself, once again God sent me a very clear message in the form of a devotional by Rabbi Jonathan Cahn.  He compared the dasyupelis scabra or egg eating snake to Satan’s modus operandi.  In essence, Satan attacks the young in order to prevent their fulfilling the ministry that God had programmed into them.

He tried it with Moses.  We know the story of Pharaoh’s attempt to kill him as a baby.  (Satan inspired).  So, too was it in the days of Messiah’s infancy that King Herod tried to end His life.  What does this reveal?  That Satan likes to attack a coming ministry before it gets is feet firmly panted on the ground.  He likes to attack at the beginnings of God’s purposes.

Rabbi Cahn also included that God had promised to gather the Jewish people from the nations and resurrect the nation of Israel:  “But before the words of the prophets ere to be filled, a satanic fury broke forth on the earth in the form of Nazism, to wipe out the Jewish people before the propheces could be fulfilled, before Israel could be reborn.”

As I thought of Rabbi Cahn’s words, it brought back a very clear picture of our trip from California to answer a call to come and develop a place for kids who needed a shirt tail to hang onto. It was a trip filled with major and minor problems from, Pittsburgh, California to Haysville, Ohio and the two years of utter frustration of waiting, and waiting, and waiting.  It was a time of war - for in our hearts and minds we were in a fertile field for Satan to continue to say “See, I told you so”.
I especially appreciate, and believe with all my heart, Jonathan’s comment “The attack is a sign of how great is the calling, the blessing, the purpose, and the victory God has just ahead of you.  Just don’t give up but press on all the  from which more until you see those purposes break through their shell”.

Winston Churchill was invited to bring the commencement speech at the school he graduated.  When introduced all settled into their seats, for he was known as a fantastic orator who tended to be a wee but long winded.  He approached the podium and stood silent for several moments and then gave his most famous speech: “Don’t give up!  Don’t give up!,  Don’t ever give up!” and went and sat down.
In closing, my young friends and family I, echo Churchill’s words, “Don’t give up!” but would add when you are in the Lord’s will and work nothing will be impossible, as long as you realize that it is His strength that makes it happen.

How Soon?

“Let no one deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God” (2 Thess. 2:3-4).

Hey Gang:  Have you asked yourself the question, “How Soon?” lately.   When was the last time you dug into the words of the most knowledgeable of the prophets of the Word, namely Yeshua Hamashiah, our Lord, Jesus Christ?  In the Olivet Discourse, Matthew has a two-fold purpose: first he wants his readers to have no doubt that Jesus will come again in all His glory, even though His coming has been delayed; second,  that Jesus is the only Way, the Truth an the Life.

Notice: Jesus begins to answer the disciples question of “What will be a sign of Your coming, and the end of the age?”  with a warning.  “See to it that no one misleads you.  For many will come in My name, saying, “I am the Christ, and will mislead many” (Matt. 24:4-5).  I have always been amazed that so many folks, who are endowed with the ability to seek truth, fall for the lies of the cult leaders that lead them down the prim-rose path.

I recall, as a young lad, the community was in an uproar when a false prophet by the name of Father Divine convinced his followers to sell all that they had, give the money to him and go to the top of a mountain on a certain day and wait for the Lord to take them up to heaven.  More recently,  it was the Molly Boppers in California who committed suicide because they believed Jesus was coming in the tail of Haley’s Comet and they would meet him there.

Jesus made it very clear: “No one knows, not even the angels of heaven, not the Son, but the Father alone” (24:42).   Yet, we have folks who are convinced they know more than the angels of heaven and Christ Himself!

Jesus followed His warning of “Be not deceived” with a listing of very clear signs that we can see, and in many cases affect our daily lives: The newscasts will be filled with war’s and rumors of wars, kingdoms against kingdoms but these will be the beginning of birth pangs.  Many of those whose names is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life will be persecuted and even killed.  We are living in that generation when there have been more believers killed for their faith that all the other generations combined.

Jesus said, “Be prepared to be hated by all nations because of your faith in Jesus.  Watch out for their will be many false prophets who will crawl out from under the rocks and mislead many- even saints, who are not in the Word continually.   The advent of the computer age is an invention of the “Mixed Bag”.

I receive more than a dozen emails daily, half are deleted as quickly as I find them for I have no way to check out who is the writer.  If the message of the email is not grounded on Scripture with two or more witnesses, it goes into the trash file.

But notice, Jesus does not leave us dangling in the negative, He gives us a “but”, “But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved”.   One last ‘notice’ before I close: “Keep alert and watch for when the gospel is preached in all the world “THE END WILL COME”.  Do we have the capacity and electronic ability to preach the gospel to all the world?  It was reported that most of the world watched the last Olympics.

There are many blasphemies sweeping our nation and the world today, three have become very consuming and damaging to many people. I will share them in the next prophecy morning message.

Was It Worth It? Would We Do It Again? (Tweener Years #4)

“Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength and not just please ourselves” (Rom. 15:1).

Hey Gang:  I have just reread the last three blogs and feel the need to add a period to what I shared in these epistles.   I love Nehemiah.  If I have a model that I have tried to follow in my years of serving the King of kings and Lord of lords, it is Nehemiah.

He was given the nearly impossible task of restoring the walls to Jerusalem.  But now the restoration of the walls had been completed, the only thing remaining was the restoration of the gates (Neh. 6:1), when he received an invitation to meet with his enemies.   His answer to them, “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down.  Why should the work stop while I leave and come down to you?” (Neh. 6:3). His prayer, “But now, O God, strengthen my hands”.

When God called, it was a call to my entire family - for they would sacrifice in the same measure that their parents did.  And how did they respond?  They have picked up the vision of their parents and have also made the vow ‘not come down from the wall’ as long as God give direction and strength and there is a child out there who needs their help.

From the moment we left California to pick up the gauntlet, throw out a life line to youth who had needs, we have experienced crisis, heart ache, sacrifice and daily challenges as a way of life.  I tell you this, not to say that my family and I are anything special, but rather for the faithfulness of God for in every crisis, heartache and sacrifice -His provision was there.

From a freeze plug in the middle of the night in Reno, Nevada, to a generator in a tiny cross road shop in Elko, Nevada, that had been out of business for years but just happened to have a generator for a fifteen-year-old Econo van, God’s provision was always there.

June 2018, we will celebrate fifty years of throwing out life-lines to hurting kids and families. We have been blessed to hear from many of our past kids and staff.  One, who has been very successful recently came and spoke to our kids in chapel. He told the story of when and how he turned his life around.

He said, “One day I was having an especially tough day, and my house parent sent me to work at the barn.  There I ran into a kid just two years older than I.  He handed me a pitch fork and told me to clean the dung from the horse pens.  Later, he added, “While you are cleaning out the horse dung, you might want to see where the dung in your life has taken you.”  He also said, “With each pitch fork of dung you pitch, you might consider adding a chunk out of your own life.”  I learned that day, from a kid by the name of David Hainley, that action is needed to make a change in your life! Words often just do not fit.”

Our challenge to you from the Hainley family: “How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed?  How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard?  And how will they hear without a preacher” (Rom. 10:14).  Do you realize you are the only Bible and witness of God that many will see?  Are you prepared to hand someone who is hurting a pitch fork?

Yes, For us it was worth it!, Yes, we would do it again!

From Dishpan Hands to Rope Burns ( Tweener Years #3)

“For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised” (Hebrews 10:36).  “For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother.” (Mat. 12:50).

Hey Gang:  No truer words were ever spoken than “It’s time to see if this project is going to live or die!”  Within weeks a Board of Directors was formed, incorporation papers filed, a retainer to hold that beautiful piece property was placed, (a faith gift provided by my in-laws) and my title changed from ‘Unemployed director of a none existent boys home to an employed director and budding boys home.’

Now, before I get into the continuing story introduced in the last blog, I want to blow away the “I don’t think I have the ability to do that”.  In the years as the builder of this program, we had many visitors who came, who saw, and felt the price was too high.  Did you know that God knows how to say “no” and close doors but He certainly likes us to put our faith into action!

Shortly after Eagle Village became a legal entity, I received a call informing me that I had been scheduled to speak to a very elite Rotary Club, consisting of college presidents, attorneys, scientists and very successful business men.   I was a very poor student throughout my education process and had spent the previous three years working with- and learning the language of -delinquents.  I was also informed motivating this group of successful men could be very instrumental in the development of the Village.
I had two months to prepare but also two months to work myself into a tizzy.  They served roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy and peas that day.  Oh, I remember it so well.  Did you ever try and get peas to your mouth with a fork when you are in a “tizzy”?  But God had provided.  There was wonderful grand ma type person sitting beside me (who happened to by the Juvenile Judge) who reached over and put her hand on my arm and said, Mr Hainley, you know more about this subject than anyone in this room! Just get up and let it all hang out.

As I stood before that group of more than a hundred very successful men, the nervousness disappeared. and I overstepped by time limit by twenty minutes but no one left.  I have always believed that God gave me that message which He specially designed for those men who had very little time for their families.

One last point before I move on.  After the meeting ended and the room nearly empty, there was one table of men who had remained; one of the men called me over.   He said, “That is a large platter you have set out for yourself, how are you going to do it?  My response, “I do not have a clue, God has not shown me yet!”  His response, “I think I will help you!”.

Several days after the Rotary presentation I received a call from the judge with a plea.  She said we have kids on the street that need to be off the streets into something what will give them a positive experience.  Is there anything you can do?  We had a wonderful campus, but our assets consisted of a sixteen-foot square cabin which was one and a half steps above condemnation, a thirty by fifteen cement block building, with a one stall bath room, and a wild goose who felt we were intruding on his property.

The cook just rang the dinner bell so will close this down for today and pick up the “Miracle of the First Village Summer Camp”.

Blessings,

Faith Cometh With Action! (Series #2) resend

Faith claims God’s promises.  Faith holds onto truth.  Faith reaches out to God for all He has in store:  Now unto Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us” (Eph. 3:20).

Hey Gang:  We felt the decision to move had been taken out of our hands.  The house had sold, the income tax had come back early, we were successful in changing vehicles and I had recovered from the tragedy of losing my sports car -well almost.  The word from Michigan was things were happening, but it needed my full-time attention.

Perhaps the biggest factor in helping me make the decision was the war that was being waged over who would pay the bills on a young lad who had taken a woman’s life and would be incarcerated for many years.   As I watched this sadistic process, I made a vow to either find a way to help these kids or become a plumber’s helper.  Although I did not think I would have made a very good plumbers helper!

The trip across country was an exercise in total frustration - but also a lesson in God’s provision!
But the real frustration came when I learned that there had been no organizational meetings and the farm we were going to use to begin the program did not pass muster.  Bottom line, except for the interest shown by the judges, nothing had been done!   We were assured upon arrival that the interest level was still very high and the need great and something was fixen’ to happen very soon!

Very soon turned into weeks and then months.  During that time, I became one of the very first ‘stay-at-home dads.  My bride, having a teaching degree, was immediately employable so she became the bread winner of our family and I became a do-it-all person in the community.  I did a little of this- farm work, and then some of that build furniture and supply at small church .  My favorite was to work in a sugar bush.

After two years of my being ‘The only unemployed director of a non-existent Boys Home, I had about given up. I decided to take the bull by the horns and go and interview each of the persons who had not only shown interest in the project but consented to be the organizational Board.

Interview one was set up and day arrived for the meeting.  My father-in-law, who traveled with me when we went looking for the perfect property for the project -but whose real job was to keep me sane while waiting for something to happen- was my companion that day.

We were graciously received and, after twenty or so minutes of listening to what I felt God had called me to do (up root my family and move them cross country to do), he responded,  while opening a file drawer and taking out a file,  “Wonderful idea and a needed one but I am already a part of a group that has committed to develop such a program.  We have a young man in California who has put this together and agreed to come.”.

When I said to him, “I am that person”, he opened the file and said, “You are Kermit Hainley?”   There are no words to adequately describe the astounded look on his face.  After recovering from the shock, he said, “You moved your family here two years ago to begin this project and nothing has been done?”

As I left his office that day with his commitment that something would be done very quickly, for the first time in two years the heaviness in my chest cavity began to subside.  Tune in tomorrow for the second chapter to this segment of the ‘Birth of Eagle Boys Village."

Blessings,

Gramps
