My God is Sovereign

This morning let me share a powerful message that I received from Marv Rosenthal of Zion’s Hope.(This is with his permission):

Warm greetings in the name of our risen, ascended, and soon-coming glorious and triumphant King.  Is that not a powerful way to begin a greetings?

May I ask you to do me a personal favor?  I only asks it so that you can help me to help you and, in the doing, I can faithfully service my Lord.  My request is this.  Will you write down for me four words five times and allow them to totally grip your heart, not simply intellectually but experientially”  the words are these: “My God is sovereign!”

First it is important that you understand what “sovereign” really means before proceeding.  I  looked up its definition and found it to be very helpful..  Satan is turning up the heat for the last days – but my God is sovereign.

Government is largely corrupt, our culture is in a nosedive, big business has lost its equilibrium, our elitist universities are training men and women to intellectual successes and moral failures – but my God is sovereign.  The opposition to the Gospel of Christ by the ungodly and false religious teachers is dramatically increasing – but my God is sovereign.

The spirit of Antichrist is moving the nations toward a one-world government, one-world economy, and one-world religion in oppositi0n to the true Christ – but my God is sovereign.

The nations of the world are surrounding the nation of Israel and preparing to do her harm without a hint of what God is going to do to them - but my God is sovereign.

Because my God is sovereign,  I know that He puts men in power and takes them out of power in harmony with His ultimate glorious purposes for the universe.  Therefore, I do not fret, lose sleep, or bite my nails at what is happening in our beloved country and world.  Am I saddened at what is happening all around us?  Absolutely!  Will I come unzipped or unglued because of it?  Absolutely not!  Not as long as I remain resolute in my belief in God’s sovereignty and remain focused on His matchless, unfailing grace.

Why?  Because right before His  ascension to His Father He said to those who belong to Him, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son, and the Hol6y Ghost….and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world” (Matthew 28:1`98-20.)

So My Christian brothers and sisters, Our Lord has never annulled, rescinded, or amended His last words.  They are not an option to be considered, they are a command to be obeyed.  We either obey and lovingly share our faith or we are disobedient.

God is sovereign and has chosen in His sovereignty to provide eternal life to all who by grace through faith alone trust in Him.
  Blessings,
Gramps
