Yeshua, Messiah

Most of you know our last week has been a bit focused on getting home and now on Ryan.  I had the next teaching in rough draft, but having difficulty concentrating.  In our stack of mail, when we returned was the monthly teaching from Jewish Jewels, a ministry we support. Neil’s topic this month is Focus on Yeshua.
He has chosen to look at six of the many facets of Messiah to see his faithfulness.  Yeshua was, is and always will be a Rock, King, Healer, Teacher, Savior, Friend.  I would like to share one of these today:   Healer.
Yesterday: A Healer
Yeshua blessed both believers and non-believers alike by healing them: “… God anointed Yeshua of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who wet about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him” (acts 10:38).  It had been prophesied long before His birth that Yeshua would be a healer.  The remarkable prophecy of Isaiah Chapter 53, written 700 years before Yeshua was born, speaks of the healing aspect of His ministry.  We read in Is 53:5, “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him and by his stripes we are healed.”  Our healing was purchased over 2000 years ago when Yeshua fulfilled this prophecy.

Today: A Healer
Yeshua healed yesterday and He heals today.  Neal shared some healing stories and we all have stories of healings in families, church families and friends.  I am living proof – 12 years cancer free;  My mother’s life was spared for many years; and today we continue to pray that God will miraculously touch Ryan with His healing hand.   Count your blessings and healings in your circle.  Healings don’t always come in the way, or time frame that WE want, but we know we serve an Awesome, caring God of the Impossible who has plans for each of us.  We live in an imperfect world.  These attacks we face, the enemy meant for evil, but God will turn for his good.
We are instructed in Scripture to: Pray for the sick (James 5:15), lay hands on the sick (Mark 16:17), and anoint with oil (Mark 6:13). More important than physical healing is that our hearts are healed by the blood of the Lamb.

Forever: A Healer
Will Yeshua be our Healer forever?  The living waters of the Lamb become a river of life and a source of supernatural healing.  The Apostle John saw this river in a vision: “And He showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.  In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month.  The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations” (Rev 22:1-2)
