“For our struggle is not
against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers against the
world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in
the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12).
Hey
Gang: Wow, do I have some fabulous news
for you this morning! Yes, we are
living in that time referred to by Paul as “perilous times". A time described by the writer of Hebrews
when he advised us that there will be a time “...when everything which can be shaken, as of created things, so that
those things which cannot be shaken may remain”. (Heb. 13:27).
Notice
the last words of that verse “...which cannot shaken”. As I have studied the word I have learned
that there are prerequisites to the promises of God. A neat Word study and one that reveals the
unbounded love of God for His children is the phrase “I will...” but, to truly
understand this un-boundless love, you also need to look at the “if’s” that
trigger this un-boundless love.
If
I were able to ask each of you who receive this epistle where Jesus, the Son of
God, is at this moment, most would quickly reply, “He raised Him from the dead
and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places.” (Eph. 1:20) and you
would get a star at the top of your paper.
And
now for the “Wow” lesson of the morning: Paul goes on to give us this fabulous piece of truth “By grace you have been saved, and raised
us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus”!
(Eph 2:6).
Perilous
times, yes, but God’s grace is sufficient fort even the deepest and widest
wilderness experience.
Soooo,
when you hit the shaker, stop for a moment or two and remember where you are,
you are seated with Christ in the heavenly places. Can you say a big “Amen to that?
Blessings,
Gramps
