Have You Checked The Time Lately?

“For behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace; and all the arrogant and every evildoer will be chaff, and the day that is coming will set them ablaze,” says the Lord of hosts., “so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.” (Malachi 4:1)

Hey Gang: Do you think the day has arrived? Are we living in that time referred to by the prophets of old as the “latter days” or ”last days”?

Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives when his disciples came up to Him and asked, “When shall these things happen and what will be the sign of Your coming and the end of the age?” His first words in answering their question are ones we need to take to heart, “Do not be deceived.” (Matthew 24)

Notice, in verse 25 of the Olivet Discourse, Jesus said, “Behold I have told you in advance. Later He said, “I do not want you to be unaware of what is coming down.” In other words, you have a choice, you can be as the five prudent virgins and have your lamps prepared for the coming of the Husband, or you can neglect filling your lamp with His warning of what is to come.

It was reported recently that the number one problem in our world today, and one that leads to many maladies, is fear. The news is filled with a constant diet of woe, agony and pain. God warned that this is precisely what is going to happen just prior to His releasing His Son to come and take back what is rightfully his.

So, should we join the fear and anxiety crowd? I think not. Jesus said, “My peace I give to you”. (John 14:27) Is it okay to be fearful? Malachi tells us, “But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall”. (Malachi 4:2)

Soooo, young warriors, is your sword sharpened and ready for battle? For we know not what hour He will chose to come.

Blessings
